PSHE at Holly Spring helps pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage many of the critical opportunities, challenges and responsibilities they face in school and as they grow up.
By teaching our pupils to stay safe and healthy, and by building self-esteem, resilience and empathy, our PSHE programme tackles barriers to learning, raises aspirations, and improves the life chances of all our pupils.
PSHE permeates throughout the whole school curriculum, touching every aspect of the school experience and beyond. Being at the heart of our school ethos, the children learn about British Values and the shared language of the Rights Respecting agenda. Our Rights Respecting classrooms have a Charter that is created with the children. Children have opportunities to take on roles of responsibility such as school councillor.
